Canva just dropped a HUGE update at their Canva Create 2025 event, and I’m here to spill all the tea. The theme was “Uncharted,” and believe me, they’re charting a whole new course for design. Melanie Perkins, Cliff Obrecht, and Cameron Adams (Canva’s founders!) unveiled some seriously game-changing tools. Think Visual Suite 2.0, Canva Sheets, Canva AI, and Canva Code. I’m beyond excited to dive into each of these and show you how they can transform your digital product game. Stick with me, and let’s explore!

Canva’s Core: Creativity Meets Productivity
Canva’s always been about making design accessible, right? Their belief is that tech should boost what we can do as humans. It’s all about empowering us to design. And the numbers? Mind-blowing! We’re talking about 230 million monthly users creating a BILLION designs every month.
Big names like DocuSign, FedEx, and Disney are using Canva Enterprise. They’re saving time and money while streamlining their creative processes. Plus, Canva’s free for students and teachers in over 15,000 school districts. This isn’t just about pretty pictures; it’s about bringing ideas to life, no matter who you are.
Visual Suite 2.0: Your All-in-One Design Hub
Let me guess, you’ve been there. You need a presentation, so you fire up one program. Then you need a video, so you switch to another. Annoying, right? Canva heard us loud and clear!
Visual Suite 2.0 is here to solve that problem. It’s like they took all their design tools and crammed them into one, easy-to-use platform. Docs, whiteboards, presentations, social posts, videos, even print items and websites – it’s all there!
Here’s what’s new:
- Every Page, Your Way: Each page can be whatever format you need. Presentation slide? Doc? Whiteboard? You got it!
- One Project, One Place: Create an entire project from start to finish without leaving the file.
- Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Collaborate with your team, stay on-brand, and create stunning designs together.
How can you use it?
- Brand Campaigns: Creative teams can concept, plan, and roll out entire campaigns in one place.
- Sales Strategies: Sales teams can build their strategies, budgets, and account lists all in one design.
- Lesson Planning: Teachers can plan lessons, create presentations, and design worksheets all in the same file.
It’s about streamlining your workflow and making everything easier. Visual Suite 2.0 will transform the way the world works!

Designing with Data: Unleash the Power of Numbers
Data can be intimidating, but it’s so important for everything from charts to marketing. Canva’s tackling this head-on with some awesome new features.
Canva Sheets: Spreadsheets, but Make Them Beautiful
Imagine a spreadsheet that’s actually fun to use. That’s Canva Sheets! It’s easy, visual, and built for the AI age. Think Magic Formulas that do the hard work for you and Magic Insights that analyze your data with a single click.

Magic Studio at Scale: Content Creation on Overdrive
This is where things get REALLY exciting. Canva is combining Sheets with Magic Studio to let you create content at scale. Ready to ditch the one-design-at-a-time grind?
Here’s what you can do:
- Generate months of copy with Magic Write.
- Translate into 100+ languages with one click.
- Remove backgrounds from tons of images at once.
- Customize a single design into many with bulk create.
- Resize everything for different platforms using Magic Resize.
Magic Charts: Tell Your Data Story
Data alone doesn’t change minds. It’s about how you present it. Magic Charts helps you turn data into stories. It offers over 25 visualization types. These include bar charts and pie charts, stream graphs, and even racing charts! You can also pull in data from Google Analytics, Snowflake, and HubSpot! Make it easy to add interactivity with filters and tooltips.
Deloitte is already using these to improve business performance. If they can, imagine what you can do!
Canva AI: Design by Conversation
Ever feel lost in Canva’s endless options? Canva AI is like having a design assistant built right in. This is accessible from the homepage. It will let you search designs, browse templates, and start with AI all in one spot.
Here’s what it can do:
- “Design for me”: Describe what you need, and Canva AI will whip up some options.
- “Create an image”: Generate eye-catching visuals from scratch.
- “Draft a doc”: Turn basic info into a beautifully designed document.
You can refine designs with simple chat commands and even have Canva AI write your presenter notes!

Canva Code: No-Code Magic
This is the one I’m most hyped about! Coding can feel like a superpower, but it’s not always accessible. Canva Code is changing that. Now, anyone can create interactive experiences without writing a single line of code.
How does it work?
- Describe what you want to build (a quiz, a game, a calculator, etc.).
- Canva Code generates the code for you.
- Add your creation to any design or publish it as a website.
Imagine the possibilities for us digital product sellers! We can create utility-style products that actually HELP our audience. I haven’t got access yet, but as soon as I do, you know I’ll be inside Canva trying them all out.
Real People, Real Results:
Canva gave 25 people early access to Canva Code. They created all sorts of amazing things. Here are a few of the results:
- A website that recommends songs based on mood.
- An app that tracks fitness data.
- A puzzle game for kids with autism.
- A horror-based video game (yes, really!).
- A website for a floral design company.
